Pop-A-Hook is a mechanical device designed to aid sport fishermen in removing hooks from fish, as an alternated to using pliers, forceps, and other types of hand operated hook disgorgers.  It is a spring actuated device which can be "armed" or loaded by hand compression, or alternatively pushing the tip end against a firm surface such as the deck of a boat, until the spring button engages, ready to use.  Pushing the release button down results in powerful lineal force with residual thrust to remove and extract some of the most stubborn hook sets.
